Overview
Description
La Balsa Jungle House is a 14-acre property located in the low hills of La Balsa de Puerto Jimenez on the Osa Peninsula. The property is 3 kilometers from the town of Puerto Jimenez on improved public roads. The titled private sanctuary has its own water system and on-site solar power generation as well. The owner has lived on the land since 2003.
A rainy season creek divides the property’s two ridges of hills. La Balsa Road and Quebrada Victoria both encircle the property. Victoria is a year-round stream that forms the lower boundary of the property and passes through a portion of the land.
90% of the property is in its natural state. The vegetation is indicative of the low-land rainforest here on the Osa Peninsula, with secondary tree growth and some primary forest trees along the creek and stream.
