Hola, My name is Chandler Brownlee.
Born and raised in Florida, and a surfer since 1985, I fell in love with Costa Rica on my first surf trip in 1994 after graduating from Vanderbilt University.
After gaining a Master’s Degree in Leadership and starting a family including 3 daughters I found my way back to St. Augustine, FL in 2001 where real estate investing became a personal passion and part-time job.
I later became licensed in 2004 as a Realtor and Broker transacting over 250+ residential and commercial real estate closings, including serving as Broker and Sales & Marketing Director for a waterfront community in Amelia Island.
During much of this time I traveled and volunteered with Christian Surfers and surfed destinations like South Africa, France, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Hawaii, and throughout the Caribbean.
One thing remained the same after 10+ trips to Costa Rica, it was most special and Pavones was my favorite little beach town!
Over the last 12 years, I’ve helped direct a non-profit biotech LifeNet Health with its FL and Seattle, WA operations providing much-needed transplant tissue and medical devices to hospitals and patients around the world.
Besides protecting and supporting wildlife and nature conservation in Costa Rica, my hope is to help contribute to added health benefits in the Pavones region where needed.
RE/MAX was especially appealing to me when wanting to relocate to Costa Rica and get back to my roots in real estate since it’s the largest real estate company in the world.
Also, for 20+ years I’ve known Hannah Rico Fletcher and her husband Shawn with RE/MAX Oceanside Realty in Jacó Beach. The reputation, network of RE/MAX offices, and resources they’ve helped build for buyers and sellers across Costa Rica are the largest in the country.

Capt. Amelia Brownlee
An avid surfer since childhood and passionate sailor, Amelia has grown up surfing and boating throughout Florida, Georgia, and Hawaii where she lived and surfed on the North Shore of Hawaii.
She owned a 27’ Morgan and crewed a 45’ Catamaran sailboat around the Hawaiian Islands.
Amelia fell in love with the Pavones area after many visits with her Dad surfing perfect point breaks and experiencing rustic pure Costa Rica, the way many people have for generations.
My name is Arelys Zúñiga Jiménez, born and raised in Pilón of Pavones, I come from a large family, decided to have my own when I met my Husband Randy Walker. We have 2 beautiful kids Nikol and Kyle, who are my inspiration to do my best every day.
I’ve been a co-owner of Pavones Surf Shop and surfboard manufacturing business with my husband since 2010. Additionally, I’ve volunteered on several community committees and have been involved in real estate for many years. Eager to build my career in real estate, I decided to become part of RE/MAX Jungle Properties.
I consider myself a very friendly person with good morals and ethics. Also, I’m always drawn to help people in the community and anyone who needs it. I was born in San Vito, Costa Rica and relocated to Puerto Jiménez with my family when I was 10 years old. Growing up on the Osa Peninsula I always appreciated the beautiful unspoiled jungle, wild animals, and perfect waves to surf.
For many years I’ve served as a nature and adventure tour guide, managed an eco-lodge in Matapalo, own a surf shop in Puerto Jiménez, and owned my owned real estate company here. I decided to join RE/MAX Jungle Properties and the Costa Rica RE/MAX team since it’s the largest real estate network in the county and worldwide.
