About Me
Hi, My name is Chandler Brownlee. Born and raised in Florida, and a surfer since 1985, I fell in love with Costa Rica on my first surf trip in 1994 after graduating from Vanderbilt University. After gaining a Master’s Degree in Leadership and starting a family including 3 daughters I found my way back to St. Augustine, FL in 2001 where real estate investing became a personal passion and part-time job. I later became licensed in 2004 as a Realtor transacting over 250+ residential and commercial real estate closings, including serving as Broker and Sales & Marketing Director for a waterfront community in Amelia Island. During much of this time I traveled and volunteered with Christian Surfers and surfed destinations like South Africa, France, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Hawaii, and throughout the Caribbean. One thing remained the same after 10+ trips to Costa Rica, it was most special and Pavones was my favorite little beach town!
Over the last 12 years, I’ve helped direct a non-profit biotech LifeNet Health with its FL and Seattle, WA operations providing much-needed transplant tissue and medical devices to hospitals and patients around the world. Besides protecting and supporting wildlife and nature conservation in Costa Rica my hope is to help contribute to added health benefits in the Pavones region where needed.
RE/MAX was especially appealing to me when wanting to relocate to Costa Rica and get back to my roots in real estate since it’s the largest real estate company in the world, and second, for 20+ years I’ve known Hannah Rico Fletcher and her husband Shawn with Remax Oceanside Realty in Jaco Beach. The reputation, network of RE/MAX offices, and resources they’ve helped build for buyers and sellers across Costa Rica are the largest in the country.
